right my step daughter has our old dell latitude lap top.the problem is she filled the hard drive up and now it wont do a disk clean up or defrag.i and it takes forever to load anything.ve tried removing some programmes but this still doesnt help.do you think the hard drive is knackered and if so where do i get a new one and how do i change it.ive done normal tower drives is it the same process?also can i format the drive will this help and if so how do i do it.

it gets finicky if it hasnt got around 10% free. Are there any programs that you dont use much ? remove them using Add/Remove in control panel. Empty
Recycle bin. Use Find to list readme, .old .bak .tmp etc and delete them. delete any update uninstall files. It will tell you when you have enough space.
