        I say Tony for PM.
Just have to form the Surf political party to back him up.

We currently own 6 vehicles between the 2 of us... but we can only drive a maximum of 2 at any one time... so how on earth can telling us to sell 4 of them improve congestion??? None are kept on the highway when parked.

Besides - what RIGHT does anyone have to tell me that?? They try to tell me not to drive a 4x4 either... and thats another pile of steaming smelly stuff... IMHO.

I'm selfish and ignorant coz I can afford to be coz I work hard for a living, and choose to spend MY money on what I want, ( no law against that YET)

My MONEY, MY 4x4, MY CHOICE! HA!

I'd be quite happy to pay to travel on the roads but only if the Road Fund Licence was abolished and all fuel duty was abolished as well. That way those that drive the most would pay the most and many of us would be very much better off. But there again I either walk or cycle to work, my Surf spends most of the time sat on the drive and only usually goes out at night in the periods when the congestion charges either don't apply or would be minimal.

There again, by the time they could bring it in I'll be retired anyway and probably looking to move abroad, to leave more room for all the illegals, assylum seekers (intentional mis-spelling), druggies, crooks and bent politicians to finally screw this country into the ground.

On the other hand, isn't it time we had a revolution in this country and chucked out all the politicians, of whichever party as they're all as bad and corrupt as one another. Bring back Citizen Smith!!

But those who drive the most ALREADY pay the most... through fuel tax. If you drive more you use more fuel and pay more tax....

Don't forget the 2% ( I think ) Tax on all insurance, so 4 or 6 vehicles + home ins etc. WOW it all adds up!

I could half see your point if you live in a narrow road and it becomes problematic getting to and from etc...but the simple fact is that some people HAVE to park on the road....as long as there taxed and insured to be left on the road at night then NO ONE can say anything about it....its a free world mate! Lets try and keep it that way or soon were going to have to trade our surfs for nissan micras!

If someone is parked in front of your driveway and you cant get in or out it's called obstruction and is an offence, call the plod and get em done mate. As for congestion charges, the roads are pretty quiet where I live, but I'm sure that if these charges were introduced it would cost me a damn site more that road tax and fuel duty is now. If the government would spend a few quid on improving railways as a way of helping get commuters and goods off the roads I'm sure it would go a long way to solving the congestion problems in our bigger city's and towns.

i tryed the obstruction thing once cos i was bloked in by two complete tw*ts about an inch from front and back so did the proper thing and called the police (non-emergancy of course) and was told that the only ruld regarding this was if they were blokcing your garage!!! not even you drive (unless there is a garage at the end) They told me that the only thinkg i could do was knock on the doors around and ask if it was their car and to move it! now i live on a road which has two car parks comming off it and people who work in the main street here in, so far, sunny saltash dont want to pay for car parking fees so park in the road around so these cars could belong to anybody!!! Also what happened if i did go knocking (did not need to got a bike too) and ended up getting a kicking of being killed (far fectched i know but there are some sick people about). Any way my point being i am a law abiding, in the most parts , citizen and for some stainge reason generally know and stick to road laws. But the moral of this story is the police arnt really here to help and protect us from sh*it like this cos they are over stretched doing other stuff. SO it really gets on my tits that criminals get treated so well and have to be reabilitated using our money we pay after paying for the damage they do to us through breaking in, vandlism and the like. they dont want them to do it again then cut off a hand or tattoo theif on their fore head. degrade and PUNISH them for their crimes, make it so that they will think twice about doing it again and so that we can all see who they are!

Right sorry about that soap box put back in the cuboard
it never rain it pours! glad I got the 4X4
