bailed or whatever, why isn't he locked up somewhere? he's spent less than 14hours in nick! you'd spend longer than that in there if you were caught littering if you're a white british male who has a job.

i'm not going out tonight because i'm worried to leave my mum at home by herself under these circumstances (my dad works most evenings). my younger brother is staying in too. i'm so fooking p!55ed off with this right now that if anything kicks off again tonight, i swear we're battering the c***!

judging by whats gone on here, i honestly don't see the old bill being able to work out whodunnit if we were stood over him with bats and stickers on our foreheads saying 'wedunnit'!

                    BUGGER ALL!

this kicked off at 1am 2 houses away from me.

my dad got in from work at 1am this morning and tells me there's some nutter outside somewhere howling and shouting like a lunatic. so i went out there because apart from the surf i got my taxi, my mums nice rover 75, my dads merc and his cab out there, so i wanted to make sure they weren't getting damaged!

i got out there to see this ukranian nutter who's lived 2 houses away for about a year with his mrs, daughters X 20, sons X 20, grandkids X 90 etc waving what i thought was a stick and this was a bit intimidating since he's about the same size as i am! you don't need psycho's that size thank you very much!

anyhow, i phoned the police, and a quick response paramedic unit turns up 1st (one of his daughters phoned them???!!!) so this guy goes to calm him down and it wasn't until the nutter came into the light i realised it was a feckin' sword!!!! ]BROWN PANTS TIME!!!!

                    [/SIZE]

                    phoned police AGAIN!

they turned up (20mins after i'd phoned them the 1st time) and the nutter went into his house. i watched until 2.30 from an upstairs window (i'm not so brave when there's giant psychos patrolling with swords for some reason!) and to my amazement they left at 2.30am, leaving the nutter in the house!!!!

                    i couldn't believe it!

                    THEN!

i'm woken up at 7am this morning to that same nutters howling and i thought to myself, nope not having it! went outside with my cricket bat because feck it, there's going to be kids out here playing soon and lots of people going to the shops etc and if the plod aren't going to do anything then i was going to.

when i get outside i see a local hard nut, and this guy is a proper hard nut, i've known him years through the football and he's a genuine sound community kind of guy, but llike i say is just the dogs when it comes to a bit of trouble. he proceeds to tell me whats happened this morning. the nutter followed an old lady home from the shops and tried to break into her house (minus the sword) but with a hammer! this old girl is next door to this tough chap who hears the commotion and rushes out and promptly batters the ukranian.

ukranian runs back into his own house, by this time everyones outside, including kids, shoppers, people gouing to work, the local shop keepers etc. police turn up and finally cuff the ukranian and cart him off.

they say to the tough guy they will have to take him as well for assault, and the chances are he's in more trouble because apart from ripping a garden gate off its hinges and attacking the old lady's front door with a hammer, he commited no assault!

THE POLICE ARE SH!TE! i used to believe that when it got serious they would be there to sort it. WRONG! I got no sympathy or respect for them now, so i don't want to hear any more sob stories from coppers or police sympathisers saying "they got a tough job" because tough though it may be, they chose to do it, and this event has infuriated me no end that i just don't care about the police, their issues, their politics or procedures. there's right and wrong, and the way they've conducted themselves is disgusting!

one psycho who shouldn't even be in this country who should have been locked up last night could have raped/killed an old lady (in her eighties BTW) and a local man fends him off effectively to stop the nutter and HE himself ands up in more trouble?

it's all bollix. this country, it's governments and police are a joke.
know its an old post but ive thought this way for a long time now. we as a community need to take things in our own hands

Couldn't agree more mate, but how can it be done. Trying to protect your neighbourhood can turn into vigilantes on the street, then into mob rule. Best to leave policing to the police, but ensure that they have the powers to do the job properly by giving hell to our M.Ps who create the law. Too many politically correct do gooders in this country who will go out on a limb to protect the rights of those who ignore the rights of honest folk to get on with there lives. Sod it Come the revolution brothers!!!!
( I'm on the sick with stress, sorry)

There are good and bad in every job instead of tarring us all with the same brush complain to the top. Formal letters of complaints against police work get rid of the dead wood the jobs hard enough I get slagged off every day deal with $$$$ get called an arse hole fine I'm good at dealing with Sh*t.

But don't whinge on the forum about all police being W**kers etc etc complain MPs etc I'm $$$$ed off with the slagging. Yep we get killed and yes we signed up to do the job. If you don't get a reasoned response don't whinge take action against the officers who are clearly not doing what is required of them. If a paramedic was attacked with a weapon time to put door in and have the guy arrested pure and simple. If it's not happening don't slag me off complain to the MPs Local council and The Chief constable it works my colleagues and fellow officers don't want to work beside incompetent prats.

Just remenber though were there to save your ass not kiss them so kids playing in the street may not be so important as someone trapped in a car. With 6 officers on a shift looking after 200,000 people some things like knife weilding maniacs take priority complain.

                        Cheers JB

not everyone is the same as u though. noone is calling anyone that bad word.
example of a typical copper down here:
friend wanted to use toilet in the bp but it was locked, copper was happening to be filling up the squad car told him to go and pee in the street.

When youv'e got to go youve got to go It's urinating in a public place when someones come out of a pub and blatantly urinates against a wall in the high street. Going behind a building and being descreet is another matter.

Many years ago when I was in the job the most important thing to have was common sense and a bit of bottle. Towards the end of my service the most important thing was to have a university education, the desire to become a Chief Constable and the ability to disappear when things got a bit hairy. All a bit too much 'jobs worth' not enough 'get the job done'. Don't knock the whole service just cos some of em shouldn't be in the uniform, after all they are supposed to represent a cross section of society.
