Alternatively you could go to a solid front axle although most of the solid axle conversions use leaf springs.

Would be a great conversion if you could do it although I'm pretty sure the articulation with one of these setups would be seriously compromised.

Glad you guys liked it. You have now dashed my hopes. I was going to have a look at the truck on Sat to see if it would be possible. The ball park figure is just under £2,000, inc air springs, compressor, control switches, and solenioid valves. At least I would still be able to park in my garage, even with a 2" body lift and that system!
I found another site that shows a system for stiffening and raising the supension by up to 2". The demo on there is a Suzi Its in the US and works out at $75 a corner for the coil spring stiffeners and about $180 for the control gear. You can get a tyre inflation/deflation kit to run off the same compressor. Now I must psyche myself up to stop smoking and save the pennies.
      It's only a hobby!

Have you been to our off road site in Canewdon?
We have a meet this Sunday if you're interested, it's a great day and there's a burger van too.

And then there's Bures in Colchester, get there early though or you'll queue for ages. Bures site is very open and sandy. There is also a huge lake for wading in.
Also just as close to you is the Woodlands site at Brands Hatch.

Cheers matey, I've just been checking out the pics on the other thread and am well tempted, unfortunately i'm doing a 12 hour shift in Chiswick tonight from 11 on some BIG trees (railway work) and will probably feel like s**t all day tomorrow but I'll make a note of the dates and have a go later. Thanks again.

.... doubt it! my mate does tree surgeon / bank clearance on the railway and on nights he usually sits in cabin all night waiting for the all clear on the line, but there's always a problem so he gets 3 weeks money for nothing!... (or so it seems!)

That can happen, we have had a couple of cancellations where the lads were sent home but that always seems to happen on the shift I miss
The last possesion I worked nr St Albans it poured down from 11pm until ten minutes after we finished at 7am, ****** typical!

                          Soggy rear

                          There are other two-doors then!
I am collecting my 94 on Monday. Inspection reveals it has the Dune Diorama Device suspension. This is a Japanese mod, the stance of the car is altered drastically.

Search for "Diorama Device Suspension" in Google, for the Dune website in engrish (You'll see what I mean).
It may not be available here but it shows that it can be done.

I'll post some pics one day soon.

                          Regards.
