Just EFI, I'm afraid. Mechanical tuning would be needed for the non-EFI.

DieselBob does do mech tuning, tho.......
    It just does, OK?

      Very easy to fit.

One wire to an ignition live. I took mine off the wiper motor.
One wire to an earth. Mine went straight to the battery.
One wire to the fuel pump. The pump has a small round solenoid on the rear edge. The wires coming from this have a connector on the side of the pump. It's the red wire that needs to be spliced into.
And one final wire to the Throttle position sensor.

The TPS has four wires coming from it. It's the yellow wire with the white tracer and a red band that was needed on my truck. Splice into that wire, and that's that!

Simple to fit. Took 30 mins or so to fit. Soooooooooo glad I got it!!!
Cheers Dave, I need to save up!! Ian

nevermind, i've done a body lift now, so once i've adapted the oil feeds for this other turbo replacement i've just got and get that on the wagon (fingers crossed this unit isn't shot too) i'll finally be able to put the intercooler on, that'll make a bit of a difference i hope.
i swear, it was like that when i got here...

            you hungry ian?

forgot all about taking any more pics before doing the lift, but think i got enough oldens to do a before and after at some point when i can be arsed to faff about with my camera (you got to hold everything together tightly or it turns itself off!)

this turbo things been a bit of a mare, had 2 which were useless and this other one the oil feeds don't line up with my existing feeds even though it is a c20 and all other numbers match on it?!?!?!? i've been waiting ages to do the intercooler mod and its been sitting there just daring me to put it on!

HEHe kake!!! so much for speed typeing, I'd like to fit an intercooler but i dont want to do a lift cos it wouldnt go in the garage, Its a shoehorn job now!, I'm more inclined to go for a hood scoop like Vince to cover it,
I'ts just another thing on an endless list of stuff to do,

The Bobbox is ideal for fitting an intercooler to give you the extra fuel to match the denser air you'll get.

Glad you got it sorted, Dave. Bob can uprate your injectors to go with your box. I got mine done. Not much difference in power on their own, but reduced the smoke so you can wind the box up a bit further. When you get used to actually being able to accelerate and calm your right foot down to normal usage, the mpg is slightly better I found because you don't have to flog it to keep up with the traffic flow.
You can take my 4x4 from me when you prize the keys from my cold, dead hand.

Well, nice and easy to fit. Four wires, about 30 mins in total. Decided to leave the adjustment screw where Kevin had it set. Went out for a test drive, and as I pulled out of my road, thinking, mmm, when I get a clear stretch of road I'll floor it, I had to back off the throttle if I wanted to keep any tread on my rear tyres!! Backed the adjuster off a little, but the power gain is still very noticable.

Not necessarily a cheap upgrade, but well worth the dosh!!

Thanks to Micky B for a bit of advice with the fitting..
so wots the latest on this then still think its worth doing????

any benifits or draw backs found???

Linda's Bullet is getting this, we've got the injectors in, and bob-box and intercooler are in the garage, but we're gonna break the motor in first after its rebuild, then fit the box and intercooler.

will all these mods result in less mpg????

                        Hey Tony

Keep us informed on the progress of the Black Bullet, I was just working out how to intercool the 3.0, then saw the thread on the bobbox and

                        what a good idea!

Are you doing a top mount or bumper mount for the intercooler?

You could end up doing a great trade in intercooler upgrades!!

                        Cheers

I'm finding it a bit difficult to stick to 70 on the motorway!!
Not too sure on mpg yet. I'll have to brim the tank and check it.

                          Goes well, tho!!
