going by what they done to mine then yes they do.
make sure the 4 bolts are in b4 you take it in and that they are in and not knackered when you get the surf back and check the inner track rod end rubbers too b4 and after
I finally got round to checking my frame number against the list on the link provided earlier in this thread and sure enough mine is included in the recall. As I have no yellow paint on the vin plate and no green sticker on the rear window (although if there had been I would probably have scra ped it off with all the other junk that was on there) I presume it has not been done.
Anyway I e-mailed Toyota customer support and within 4 hours got this back.
They have been in touch now and willing to replace the rubbers but they are not going to give me a courtesy car or pay my fuel so i have told them to stick where the sun don't shine as i aint taking another day off for them to repair the damage they done.
still recon it's worth another go via jane mate, I have kept onto her 'bout the bubbly and fuel and she has instructed Marsh Plymouth to sort it. They are slow as hell to phone - allready said they have tried to contact me twice(they lie because all my calls in and out are logged, even unanswered!) so another mail to jane and she has now refered it to the principal...still waiting mind!
I just hate duel standards....I was prommised so I want
If you feel like a stir..ask them for details of their liabillity insurence your motor is damaged! claim for it to be rectified, expences and loss of earnings -I bet you get a favorable responce once they realise you will not be pi$$ed about

still cant see why you cant claim from parklands as you could not reasonably expect to go back concidering their inflexability - worth a phone call just as a try on..surfaciatious he say 'those who dont ask..get naf all!'

i had actually rang Toyota U.K when i fell out with Parklands at the start of all this and they did'nt want to get involved and said it's down to my local dealer what they want to do about it

dont think they (UK) can back off from this one - they authorised the work and toyota UK, europe or whoever paid for it and it was not acceptable, you do have rights! a few emails cost you nought you do stand to get your just deserts.

as far as T.U.K are concerned is that the dealer is willing to do the repair and they stand by them and that they dont have to pay any expences that i would incur getting the surf to/fro from the dealer and for having to take the time off of work.It was bad enough having to sit around for just over 2 hours waitng for them to do the recall as it was,but i think that i will get in touch with Toy.Europe and Japan now to see what they have to say so will keep you informed
