As with most things, any business is only as good as the person you deal with and (all due respects to del'y drivers out there - I wouldn't do it!!) brain cells are not a prime atribute for a delivery person.
My del'y driver from interlink may not be the brightest but he is obligeing and helpfull. Having used many services both for collections and deliveries I have found 2 to be consitantly better - Omega & DHL, TNT & Parcelforce vary a lot, Lynx not so good, nightfreight would be good if only they had tail lifts on their waggons (they do my heavier dely's) but I susspect price comes into it a lot with companies that are busy.
the one firm I can't understand are Screwfix...the record so far is one order split into 3 parcels (from the same warehouse) each delivered by a different carrier on two successive days and a collection (same order) picked up by a fourth on the 3rd day........................... ..no they couldn't explain it either!!
All my outgoing stuff goes by TNT as they only do next day service, if it don't get there I dont pay - thats the deal. I changed to them when Securicor let me down repeatedly. I learnt this from a customer and changed when they didn't improove, perhaps you Milners customers out there need to make them aware that you might not be returning customers unless the standard of there carrier improves!!
Did I mention I have a BLUE one

Know what you mean Phil as we also have some in my office but only a few most are ok. If you have a regular postie he/she will know where and if to leave things. I have a customer who I sign her specials for and leave in the shed and snap the padlock shut afterwards for her as she is a Ebay addict always getting stuff. Still guess there's good and bad in ever business

It's before 1pm now has been since last October and at least the customer got it on the same day didn't have to go back the office to collect it

            talking about postys!!!

i ordered some spares for a tumble dryer off a site on the internet on the 24th of april, i payed good money for delvery thiking that i would get these items within a couple of days cause the better half is getting on at me about it, as they do!!!..after a week goes by i ring up asking where my parts are? they took details and said they would ring back... they rang back the next morning saying that the order was dispatched the same day i ordered it, and suggested that i ring the post office with the post office ref no and see what as happend...so i rang the post office and the guy said there is nothing that i can do it is down to the sender to trace the parcel .. so armed with this info i rang back the company telling them what i was told and they was a bit baffled with wot i told them but have said they will look into it iam still waiting for my phone call back as yet....
iam only p***** about it cause im getting a thick ear about getting the dryer working again....

i dont know who i hate most the postie, the company, or the missus..
