  • Our "new" Caravan

    Hi chaps
My other half Lindsay will be travelling down to Bexley to collect our caravan on Friday. Lot's of waves on the M25 please! (but not so many that he thinks there's a problem with the van.....)
    Cheers
    Lou

Not on a Friday morning, it's 9/10 times my best day to go in even the haul up Reigate Hill is reasonable on a Friday !!!!!!!

I found anytime friday afternoon used to suck on the M25, when I used to travel everyday between the A10 and M3.

My commute is much nicer now!!!

Nice one, is it a private sale, not aware of a dealer in Bexley? That is the best time to go, I did 50 miles each way on the 25 for 3 years every day. The best time by far is Friday AM, the worst Friday PM.....where do they all come from?
Parts of your engine go up, stop then go back! Mm!

Just noticed yours is "Ice Blue over silver", brilliant, I always thought mine was lilac over silver but now its gonna be Ice Blue, sounds way tuffer!

ha ha! I meant the van but if the cap fits.......
He left at 10.30 and was back home before 3 so not bad going! Apparently she towed really well. Anyone 9ft tall who can come to Eaton Bray on Saturday to help us clean the outside - they might be able to reach the really dirty bit on the roof!
He tells me we will only travel between midnight and 6am so no worries there for people who could otherwise end up stuck behind us!

Yeh private sale, found it on preloved. It's old but clean and dry with all the bits and bobs and a massive awning.
See my other post - he made good time luckily!

Make sure the tyres are not perished, I had an older van and had a blowout on the motorway with it. Mind you it was on my old Pajero and never even moved it, cant see the surf being any worse.

cheers for that - the previous owner was really up front and told us that we'll need to do that but that it should get home - and it did! Wheels coming off today for tyre replacement but too bloomin cold for a good scrub!
Taking the wheels off will hopefully make it harder to nick although why anyone would nick a van thats nearly 20 years old is beyond me but we have a real infestation of light fingered caravan dwelling types around here so better safe than sorry.

Hmm - I don't have the height and I'm stuck working in Cardiff but I know where Eaton Bray is ....... brother lives there

Enjoy the new van - hope to get ours back on Thursday unless the dealer's lying again !

Life is too important to take seriously !
