  • Got a new motor!!! (The Horse Lorry Thread)

Another vehicle joins the 4x4toys fleet!!

We decided to retire old Gertie, Linda's horse lorry as its getting to rusty to keep fixing and she needs to put her feet up after all these years....

With a bit of luck the horse box will fit the new truck without to much modifying, and the horses will get a new limo.

Anyone wanna buy a rigid lorry body with a Ratcliff taillift???

I would use the truck body as a workshop/store . Or temporary stable/field shelter . Or temp camping for lonley Surfers . Or a waiting room for you customers whilst they wait for you to get off the forum and fix their truck . Or ..............................

hehe, great minds think alike mate, but I'm not sure where we can stash it ATM, would make a great used parts store, and I could dismantle the breaker trucks so they don't clog up the garage parking.

        Waiting room would be cool!

Anyway, off to Ebay to find a windscreen and driver door window.......

You can break anything, if thats all you had trouble with, we're golden!

Anyway, beggers can't be chosers, it was cheap, we needed a lorry....Sorted!

It might not go yet! We're gonna drain all the derv and oil out on Friday, refill it with fresh stuff, and if I can turn it over with a bar on the crank and the clutch isn't jammed on, we'll fire it up, and see what the brakes are like after 4 years of not doing anything!

Used to drain the tanks on the Dodge 100's when the auto drains failed . Build them up to pressure and loosen the valve and the kick the valve off .
Looked like high speed runs with high splatter pattern !
