    Well she's alive!!!

She cranked manually so we drained the oil and diesel and gave her new, got her 2 nice new batteries, and changed all the filters. Gave her some clutch fluid, and pumped the fuel round a bit and she started first time - sweet as anything

Tomorrow's tasks are to bleed the clutch, and free the brakes if they are stuck. Then we'll drive her home.

She's great!!! bled the clutch and bled the clutch and Tony took off and cleaned the master cylinder and I bled the clutch and bled the clutch and Tony hit the slave cylinder with a mallet and then used a pry bar, and I bled it and bled it and bled it.... and then it worked!!!

And we drove it home as the brakes were fine too...

and then we washed it! (well lets face it - that will be a one off.)

      So I'm very tonight!!

        Time for an update..........

Well, Linda and I fitted a new windscreen, side window and a mirror, so it all looks nice now.........

I started on the ramp today, so the horses don't have to use the tail-lift!!

Linda's been chatting to a horse box parts supplier, and she's got him bringing us 8x4' alloy sheets and stockboard panels, windows, etc... down from Norfolk when he visits family in a couple of weeks!!! Unbelievable!

Tony - do you reckon you could knock me up a smaller version for a roofrack?! I want a sturdy full length one similar to that

That looks the business. I was involved in helping to build a horse transporter to carry four thorobreds. It was huge. By the time we had done with it, it had bunks over the cab, a shower and tea making facilities. That was a good yard. They looked after their grooms (but were too stingey to pay for accommodation).
                        It's only a hobby!

Been getting on with this lately at weekends, some more pics.....

Linda cutting side of box for side ramp.....

Rear shutter and tail lift removed (bear of a job!! ) Then filling in rear of body....

The whole of the inside got insulated with polystyrene....

Then we fitted the grooms door, side ramp frame and layed the wood on inside the ramp....

Paneling the inside, rubber stockboard on top of 3/4" ply lower half, polycoated ply upper....

The ceiling gets white hardboard, and lights....

Ramp covered with non-slip carpet, and grip rails....

Skinning the outer side of the ramp....

Which is why project 2-door and the black pickup havn't progressed much!!
