Have you lot listened to yourselves ?? can you really get so worked up and bent out of shape over something so trivial ( annoying yes but still trivial) I was having a hard time understanding why all these Muslims in the world have gone into rock chucking frenzies over a few cartoons and thinking that maybe they they ought to lighten up a bit and get a life, but it seems from this thread that pretty much all of the human race are capable of getting worked up into nastiness over tat and trivia.

I ask of you the question would you park across someone elses drive, I dont think that you would, so therefor your vehicle would not be touched.

BUT surely if these people are that inconsiderate dont they deserve all they get??

This is basically the problem with most of the world today.

Doesn't make it any less annoying though when some is rude and inconsiderate, but what makes you a better person than them is how you respond.

I wasnt out for a wind up, what I said was from pretty genuine thoughts and feelings. I do agree that parking across someones drive is pretty inconsiderate, and not something I would knowlingly do but my reaction would depend on circumstances. If I wanted in but couldnt get in I would probably park elsewhere and wait till they moved unless it was a neighbour or I knew whos it was , and then I would find them if poss and get them to move it. If I wanted out and it was possible to move it forward or back by a gentle tug on a tow rope or a few helpers to lift and shove I might do that.
What I wouldnt do is drag it sideways to the middle of the road and thereby multiply the inconvenience levels by several score and I wouldnt do stuff with prawns, dog doo, cat poo, or stuff like that. Maybe Im a calmer type than most and the offender would have to be a repeat or persistent to wind me up to some of the levels indicated. I would be annoyed but I tend to give second chances. My basic point was that people get so wound up so easily these days, then rush into judgement and actions which really are not all that clever.

I find the same when Inconciderate people park in Disabled Bay's.
I courtesely ask them if they need to be there (knowing they arn't entitled) I then ask them politily if they are going to move & most reply "No".
I then proceed to park behind them (they ain't going now were in any case, when I'm parked) Well you should see e'm move, quicker than a Greyhound !!

I think youre probably right, Ive had a think about it and just cant see anybody nipping down the fishmongers, raking out the blender etc etc etc , feeling all good about what theyve done and then finding that the offending vehicle belonged to some poor soul who rushed round in a flap and parked anywhere, as theyd been called and told that their son/daughter/father/mother was ill/injured/dying or something

When i shoved a car out of the way it was a last resort. I had a 40 mile journey to go home and had to be up at 05:30 the next morning, so I couldn't just sit patiently until the inconsiderate prat moved his car. Anyone who backs right up to a car, which is parked with its towbar 2" from the wall behind it, knows they are blocking that person in. I parked where I was so as not to inconvenience anyone.

My favourite idea is the rope over the roof and roll the car over. Now I don't suppose I would ever do it but the thought of it makes me feel a lot better.

I'm sorry to say I lost my rag over parking (it is very easy to do). It was after new neighbours moved in two houses down with five cars, and they kept parking leaving a gap one foot longer than the Surf. After about a month I lost my rag, I'd just finished a 12 hour night shift wanted bed, and didn't want to park two junctions up the road, so I made my car fit in the gap (well I made the gap slightly larger by gentle vehicle pushing), slammed the car door hard enough for every thing in the door pocket to reach the other side, called them incosiderate (well maybe stronger but I doubt they heard as it was 5:30) and went in to bed. Nothing was ever said, and since then they normally leave enough room just!
Parking seams to create a lot of ill feeling, there was that CCTV clip shown on the News were a woman used her car to push another out of the way, even with the other womans son in the way. Is there a solution?

Yes, but people are generally to lazy or ignorant to care, and just park and run.

It doesn't take much brain power to think 'Hmmm, thats a driveway' or 'If I move up a bit someone else can get in as well'

No one thinks beyond their own needs anymore.

I had something a bit more perminent.

I went to work and when I came home I found a speed bump outside my house.
They put a platic post next to it to stop people driving down the path.
But that is where I parked my car. cos I don't have a drive.
So I removed with tact the post.
And the new one the fitted.
And the one after that.
They took the hint eventually!
Now the bump outside my house is the only one without a post!

Didn't stop em putting a ticket on both my cars for causing an obstruction at 2.30am one night. After 3 years of living here!

Hey Bogus....... I'd do it.... anything..... but then I am mad enough to.

If I could get one organised fast enough I'd get a septic tanker removal lorry and fill their motor with the contents !
