      Its the ejector seat button.

Had a Japanese friend translate the writing for me. "Important, this is a passenger ejector button! Use in emergency only and ensure vehicle is fitted with sunroof before deploying"

I pushed the little red button whilst fitting my stereo, and then rolled down the drive and nearly t-boned my mothers mini. Doh

                Should of used the handbrake.

It is generally thought to engage warp drive and to distort the space / time continuum, no one who has ever pressed it has ever made it back to this timeline to explain the consequences. If you ever get back could you post the answer please? I feel cheated, I have a manual and no red button.
Parts of your engine go up, stop then go back! Mm!
