Some of you maybe aware that I have mentioned organising a charity greenlane run in 2006.
The proposal is this,
1. A sponsored green lane run in and around the devon and cornwall border area.
2. The funds raised will go to The North Devon Hospice for Terminally ill Children.
3. An evening BBQ and entertainment will be laid on (possibly small charge, but no more than a tenner) at The Coach House, Lewdown
4. This site is owned and operated by the comedian 'Jethro', who is a personal friend of mine, and owns a Hilux and a Landcruiser.
5. Local TV will be asked to cover this event, so we can paint 4x4 owners in a better light.
6. The day will be organised as a 'Hilux Owners' event, but we should encourage as many 4x4 owners to take part as possible.
What I need to know from you guys is numbers, who is actually interested in doing this, how many ? Obviously this is at a planning stage only, though Jethro is 'on board' already.
For anyone's interest, my credentials are as follows.
Senior events manager for a national motorcycle organisation, the last event managed by myself, which ran over 3 days, pulled in 235,000 people at Mallory Park in Leicester.
