I don't know about you folks, but I hate s****ing the ice off all the windows on a frosty morning. (and removing all the bird poo before it bakes on in the summer)
I investigated car covers, but they were either too small or ludicrous prices - same goes for these folding garage things - no way would a Surf fit. Also with the covers there is the hassle of putting them on and off.
So this summer I eventually got around to putting up a plastic garage - no don't laugh - it's heavy duty plastic tarpaulin on a heavy guage tubular steel frame, and its huge! The cover is even guaranteed for three years.
Look at the pics, the Surf goes in a treat and there is even room to get all around it and work on it if required.
So how much does it cost?
£135 inc vat from our local Costco! My father in law has just paid almost as much for a car cover to go over his Golf!
We've used the "garage" for 3 months now and are really pleased with it.
As you can see in the pics I have just mounted it on concrete cubes set into the grass - wife didn't want a concrete pad just in case the "garage" was no good!
If it was in a sheltered spot you could probably just use ground anchors through the "feet", or rawl bolt it to an existing driveway.
So go on, give your Surf its own little house - you know you want too!!
