how long since something broke?

Had mine nearly a year now, the only things I've had to fix are stuff I broke playing.

So far:
1. New tyre - picked up a metal spike through one on first off road trip
2. New exhaust end piece - flattened it on first off road trip
3. New fog light

So broken stuff is all because I was having fun. I've gotten a few dents and dings in the bumpers and side steps, but that is part of what they're there for - to take a pounding and protect the real expensive stuff.

I bought mine as a combination of daily transport and play thing. Not regretted it one jot so far.

had mine a year now had to do usual servicing but only thing i have needed was a Steering Idler thats it lovely car better now ive had the new springs in

Two years on ..

in the interests of fairness, and to redress the balance of the site, a place for good news! (without wishing to tempt fate..) whats the longest anyone has surfed without anything going tonto?

For me,two years on .... AND NOTHINGS GONE WRONG !!!!!!!!!! (and it,s been used some).

nothings broke on mine since the 4x4 show last sumer!!... but there again, i haven't driven it since!!

Where do I start.

Rear anti roll bar brackets and bushes last year. Replaced pitman arm, steering idler bushes, both outer CV boots split so I changed the inners too. Scratched nsr and osf wheel arches. Big dink in back bumper. Bent side step. Scraped the under side of the A-bar.

Had mine just over a year now, all that's broke is...
1 rear part of exhaust,
2 Power steering box developed a small leak(sorted by TonyN )
3 4 rear fog lamps (self inflicted !)

That's about it, apart from the usual servicing.

A bar so abused it had to come off (and yes they do dent if you hit them hard enough)
dented front bumper
dented rear bumper so many times i stopped counting
big dent in drivers front wing
2 dents drivers door
1 large scrape along drivers door (tree)
dent to rear drivers side door
scrape to bottom drivers side rear door
large dent to top of drivers side rear wing
smaller dent to drivers side rear wing
tennis ball size dent and scrape on rear of sill
front wheel arch torn off in tact
rear wheel arch torn off in bits
bash plate beaten in to submission
bush rash on every pannel including roof.
bash to silly little mirror on wing

a few other odds and ends

rear bumper now changed for 2" thick walled tube one
bash plate changed to one made of 6mm steel plate.

all self inflicted.

hope this doesent get me thrown off for surf abuse!!

It had stitches Its going to the menders later on as im moving house 1st. Money is tight its been preserved for now in MAHALDAHIDE.
