i dunno, that's 0.00001mpg more than i'm getting... you sure you measured precisely with the correct EU marked beaker?

oh yes - correct brussels-approved measuring unit in hand plus I've replaced me air filter but not the fuel filter - that's my next job.

when I was getting 25 mpg I noticed that depending on what garage I used, I'd pay more to replace a full tank than at other garages.

is this right?

Question- If the Speedo has been fitted with a KPH to MPH converter
What does the Trip meter read in?Miles or Kilometres?
Beacause if its KM im doing more like 20 ish MPG on a run/Town

Aslong as you dont just have a template fitted and an electronic unit fitted, then Miles.

I once found one of the pumps at a local garage was under reading what had been put in the tank. Each fill up was about £10 less than any of the of the other pumps. After a few weeks there was always a queue of drivers waiting to use the faulty pump. Needless to say this is what alerted the garage manager to the 'problem'. The pump was immedeatly closed and it only took them a few hours to get it sorted- b*st*rds!

You'll probably find there is quite some variation from pump to pump. Not sure on how often they are calibrated. Bet they wouldn't have fixed it so quick if it was over reading......

Best thing to do about fuel consumption is to put more in when it gets empty, or go & sit under a tree.

However my Honda does not do well on the MWay as it is very high revving, 70mph = 4000rpm and returns about 25mpg.....

Dearest tankfull ever

Paid over £130.00 for a tank of fuel yesterday! let me explain the cost beakdown, fill tank with £40 of unleaded have nice man take Surf and me to garage, pump out tank go back to Tesco and fill with Diesel. Lesson learnt, and she will never let me live it down
