  • Milners grr...

old Milners were a bit quick off the mark. At around 1.30 pm yesterday I ordered a filter kit via the interweb thingy. 10 am this morning parcel delivered with my filters in.

Steady on chaps, I thought, us British aint used to such quick work

I know what you mean - I usually need a couple of days to phsyche myself up into servicing the Surf and they send the stuff before I'm ready. Then have to listen to the wife whinge about it lying around the house.

            On Saturday I ordered:

Inner and outer CV boots x2
            Pitman arm x1
            Brake pad set
            Brake pad fitting kit
            Rear Brake shoe kit
            filter kit
!!!!!! parcel turned up today marked 1 of 1, minus the brake shoes and filter kit. They have only charged me for what I have got + P & P. There is no explanation as to why they have done themselves out of 27.50 of business. I didn't even get the automated email confirming my order. I am going to ring tomorrow and find out what happened to the rest of my order and if I am going to have to pay another lot of P & P for the remainder. Grrrrrrrrrrrr indeed!

Maybe you lot should go to Roughtrax. I ordered 4 ball joints on 17th and still have not recieved them despite being charged about £20 postage. Apparently they were sent by ordinary post and because of the weight, they have gone overland (obviously via Afghanistan).
This, on top of their quite extortionate prices. I think they are a Toyota dealership in disguise. I only went with them because Milners balljoints are crap. I will not be buying from them again. They are the worst company i've purchased from on the net. Even LA Supertrux were better. Sorry Tony!

Maybe 'mention' this website in your next letter. Worked wonders for me.

I always order by phone- never trusted the web service.

Dont knock the quick service guys/gals...its about time we got some of this in blightey.

I've ordered simple things from Milners [Spring, Filter kit, brakes etc..] and was pleased with the service.

Same with 4x4accessoriesandtyres when ordered my own set of wheels...waiting at the site to be fitted when i said I was going to drive up there, and the ordering a set of AT's for a mate who has a Daihatsu with delivery to my workplace.

                      Excellent service so far..

I would recommend http://www.buypartsby.co.uk/ if you have a 3rd Gen surf
I ordered an exhaust silencer and brake pads cost me £88 total, ordered Monday and arrived today, can't fault it. Only parts compatible with the Colorado though which is most of the mechanical bits.

I ordered a full cylinder head kit plus induction pipes to be delivered to a field in the middle of rural France last October. Guess what.....

It turned up the next morning.

If the web service can't be trusted they shouldn't run the !!!!!! thing. What is the point of running something half-cocked. It is the third time they have cocked up one of my orders and they won't get another chance. I filled the !!!!!! form in in plain English and did the totals myself. If they haven't got all the bits or are employing half-baked work experience kids to run the business they can get stuffed!!! .................And I trusted them with my credit card details. Imagine if they cocked that up. PAH! Not that I feel strongly about it.

The above is my personal opinion and not that of this website. I absolve this wonderful site of any responsibility for my rantings. TA very much.

To be honest, the only time I've used the web to order stuff is with Amazon, every other time I get the details from the web and phone. Would rather talk to someone than fill in text boxes, that way I know the person has understood what I'm after.
