Don't forget, drive over on fumes coz you'll save a decent amount filling up on this side of the pond, its around £0.60stg here at present, it's always better in your pocket, that the oil barons/tax mans pockets!
Hehe - do they allow you to take jerry cans on the ferry??? Fingers crossed the Runner makes it that far (tho we've done a few 200 mile round trips to Stevenage to get her used to it!!)

Jerry can's? Don't see why not, they've never even looked in the boot any time I've been on the ferry (say 20 or 30 times), once in a transit they asked us to open the rear doors, all they saw was a wall of furniture, took a quick glance and closed it. I reckon you can carry whatever you like, there arn't any restrictions that I know of.

Can't wait to have a decent look at a 1st gen, never yet seen one parked up in order to have a look around it, but in the last week I've passed 2 of them on the road here, very unusual!

Met Tony & Linda today, theyre a bit funny looking

Despite that we're meeting tomorrow at 12 on the Curragh as the map in this thread shows. Gives them time to have an hour and then continue on with their sightseeing.
