                I'm all excited now!

I just spoke with Brian Garvey, the owner of Rathe House in Nobber, Co. Meath.

We can use his place all day Saturday for €50 per car, including lunch, or €40 without.

NOTE: He won't accept liability for any damage or injury - we use the place at our own risk, and he'll be asking us to sign something to that effect. I don't know if that's the norm at, say Devil's Pit, for example, but I don't think it's unreasonable.

                He'll do B&B for €30pp.

Club Land Rover Ireland use his place a lot, and there are pics of their AGM there last May at:

                http://clri.net/

Click "gallery", then "events", then "AGM Nobber May 2004".

Sorry it's a Land Rover link, bu the pics are good. Brian is looking forward to seeing Toyotas for a change.

                His website is:

                http://www.rathehouse.com

For some reason, my job's firewall is blocking it, so I can't view it...

Hope this attracts y'all. I told him I'd be in touch with confirmation (or not) and numbers as soon as I know.

It works out about £27 which is roughly what we'd pay here for place like the Pit and Norfolk. Looks like fun - what do the other Irish surfers think???

I've never done any messin in the Curragh myself, but free is always good , however it might depend on how many of us turn up, as its not exactly legal, and the rangers may spot a large party of people havin fun a bit quicker.
Depends on how many are going and what the votes are..

Time to open the Irish polls methinks, Whos goin?
and Where do we wanna go?

Best quote I got for the truck + 2 adults sailing 18th returning 21st was £137.
Best B&B £38 a night for us both.

Hard to decide, the Nobber one looks fairly muddy maybe 2 deep for those with road tyres and no winches (like me), but I'll definitely try it out sometime this year if not when Tony and Linda are over. My pal Robbie would know for definite what the story is with the Curragh lately, I'll call him 2moro.

The Curragh is a Sunday PM only if I remember right, army dont use it then
