Fitted mine today and they look super! Had to take apart most of the dash tho to do some other bits and pieces, and the entire steering column to put on new indicator/wiper controls, finally got it all back together at 6.30pm to find that the speedo is stuck because the dial face has slipped forward! GRRR. Apart again tomorrow but thanks again UDTREV for sorting them, they are sweet!

How about a BIG cattle prod to get the 3rd Gen numbers up beyond the minimum ?

right doing the dials ealier - the dash is all out still and dials are next to me. I got the rev counter on no probs but due to the holes being cut into the speedo for the trip etc when you put the screws back the centre bends up and jams the speedo needle (as Andy_Enuff has found), i have refitted about 20 times now and cant get it perfect.
the only way i can see round it is to use bigger washers but the screws are TINY!!! any idea where to get them???

they look great but will be fiddly getting the case back on as im not using glue on the fuel/oil temp etc gauges and they keep popping out but im sure ill get there.

                      2 more things
1-should the rev counter needle return on a spring like the speedo does?
2-where do i cut into to wire the thing? will one of the 4 blocks running into the pod be a dash light?

heres where im at so far.... HELP ME PLEASE though!

                      Thanks

...and another thing... someone has removed the engine check light bulb in the bottom right hand corner! grrr, given it the suspension light instead so i presume the 2.4 has an active light there or is it only the one on dial to look out for?

                          They Are In!!!

Boys and girls I give you the 1st pics of the gaugues in my Surf.
A pain to do and had to mod it with washers to avoid obscuring the speedo needle movement but they look great! and now I have adjustable brightness too! if you dont mind the washers then they are tiny 3mm washers.
I have got pics for most of the install but started it yesterday and finshed this morning (yes i did go to sleep!) or if anyone wants a hand do it or are stuck PM or email me. Havent got the time at the mo to do a step by step guide but can post other piccies if need be.

sorry for poor quality i was in a rush. you can change the colour too - blue or light bluey green ish.

                          Good luck!
and horrah for UDTrev - cheers mate for sorting these out.

Fitted my dials today they were a bit tight getting them over the centre of the needles,i also got some washers like dirtydog suggested and on the 4 small dials i put on some thin double sided tape to hold them in place, the finised job looks very smart now i've just got to wait till it gets dark to get the full effect.
The only down side is the mph markers on the new speedo face are spaced wider apart than my old one so now when i'm reading say 50mph my old one would have read about 44/45mph so i think i'm gotta be a bit more carful around the old speed traps.

Got that wrong when it's reading 44/45mph on the new face my old one would be reading 50mph,i think, anyway it's reading slower than i'm actually doing!

                                Still not got mine
Delivery was attempted wile I was at work and postie did not leave a card.

Was it Royal mail or Parcel Force that delivered the dials?

Only reason I ask is I have to find which collection point the dials are, as I have no card I have no idea where they are…
