No they are not their an inch taller, standard is 265/70R16....

I have been advised they should fit though.
    Nissan Patrol for on-road, and a Land-Rover 110 shed for off-road :-)

the best way is to go on a tyre companys website and get there details

99.99% of the time a tyre is NEVER the size listed. a 33" BFG mud is 32.8" tall when fitted to a 10" wide rim.
an Interco TSL is 33.7" tall when fitted to a 10" rim

Also, a bfg 35" mud is 34.8" So its not that much bigger then a TSL 33"

      food for thought

bear in mind that only reads as 0.5" around the whole tyre. they will be bigger but dont expect to be shocked at there size mate.

I am hoping the extra inch will be small enough to ensure they don't rub at max articalation...

ok, might have wires crossed mate.

a 285/75/16 is 32.83" tall. an so i guess on a 15" rim you will lose an inch off that total

Those tyre sizes are the only ones affected by rim size. eg. 265/70/16 will be bigger then 265/70/15.

but a 33x12.50 or 35x15.00 per example will be the same size no matter what rim diameter.

                  Mud Skipper,

Sorry mate, i read your post wrong!

                  I see you put 285/70/16 - i was thinking 285/75/16!

                  I dont believe a 285/70/16 is available.

It shouldn't be a problem. Ive been running 265/75/16 on my 2nd gen - 1st at standard height and it wasnt a problem at all.

with a 2" lift and 30mm spacers they rubbed on full lock for me. now with a 5" front lift - the poor s0ds look lost!!

265 is the width of the tyre in mm.

75 is the height of the sidewall as a percentage of the tyre width

16 is the size of the hole in the middle in inches (the size wheel it fits)

                              any clearer?
