If you can help me out with any of these q's it would be much appreciated.

1. can I buy an S- reg surf?
2. are the 2nd gen or 3rd gen surfs better?
3. can I get one with cruise control?
4. which engine is best? and why?
5. are they any good on motorways (i've already heard they are good off road)
6. what fuel consumption can I get?
7. do you know anyone who has fitted LPG to a surf?
8. do you know a website where I can find the specs on Surfs? I can't find one.

Have a look here for a bit about model history. 3rd gen Surf's are 96/97 onwards, not from 95 like the 4Runners on the site. 3rd gens are normally £9k upwards.

Most on here have diesels. Up to 92/93 were 2.4's, then came the 3.0.
