Sorry John the bumper isn't included in the saleand a standard one will be going back on

No , they are 2nd gen's , and pricey considering the current market.
You would be better off throwing another £8-900 at a 3rd gen .
the 2nd and 3rd gen differ considerably.
      This is a 3rd gen below .

I should be looking for 3rd generation really? Pros and cons? 3rd gen up and over tailgate instead of pick up style drop down. Slighty longer and wider wheelbase if I remember correctly. Small increase in fuel economy. Coil sprung all round, no torsion bars. OH!! and free curling tongs in the glove box

Your mods - im looking for an expedition truck at the end of the day that will see a bit of rough terrain - North Africa - that sort of thing. Lifted is good. Above all it needs to be reliable and looked after - if that matches your truck then tell me more............
As my add hasn't gone live on here yet, this is a link to it on another forum

            Thats in good nick Poves.

Can someone point me in the right direction for a description/pros/cons between a 2nd and 3rd gen Surf - only difference I can see is the 2 gens have chrome bumpers. Also, are LSDs standard on all Surfs?

See post 19 forgot to add the 3rd gens have a lockable centre diff as well, and no LSD's are not standard on all surfs

#######s! Why oh why did I not look on ebay earlier:

                            http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Lan...#ht_500wt_1413

My heart skipped a beat - text the seller 10 minutes ago and he text back saying that 3 mad guys came and bought it in the dark and in a snow storm - yeah I would have done that and more for that price - it went for £3050 in the end!
