    Oh well, thanks anyway.

BTW, dark blue I would consider (if it is exceptional), but light blue I think I will avoid.

Also with that one, I have to wonder if it is a UK 4-Runner, as the manuals are v rare from Japan I think. IMHO the 4-Runner has less value since it has been exposed to salty roads for all it's life.

The 3rd gen was never available as a Uk truck.

      Jap import only.

Not a big fan of the colour, I would prefer a darker colour like green or black. It doesn't have the swing out rear spare either. Thanks anyway

Have you tried an importer, like Algy's Autos, if you're that fussy?

I called Algy's about 6 months ago, they had nothing in stock and were not overly enthusiastic, when asked about importing one !!

Also have been on to westcoast imports. Told then my requierments. A 3rd Gen 3.0Td, etc. Yes, no problem was the reply. after 2 weeks they sent a selection cars with info and photos, all very nice 3rd Gens, but every one was a 2.7 petrol .

Reminded them it had to be diesel. Again a week or two pass, they send another selection, this time all Diesel, great !!! NO.... all 2nd Gens.

I hit them with another e-mail, that was about 2 months ago, not heard a peep from them since.

I see they now have one of the petrol 2.7's on Pistonhead @ £7500

It's too expensive to get an import, my buget won't stretch to that.

Good selection at http://www.tradecarview.com/used_car...&jid=1999&fu=2 though, good to see what may be available, there seems to be a sh1t load of surfs there :-)

I am fussy, tight, and poor, a bad combination

The Aberdeen Surf, was not for me.

It was a very smart truck, that had been well looked after. But was not to keen on the 2" suspention lift, with aftermarket wheels with spacers.

If it had been standard, I think I would have pushed for a deal.

                              The search goes on.

                              Ian.........
