3.0 3rd or 2nd gen Wanted

Hi all

I have been trawling the internet, papers etc looking for a surf. I can't seem to find any. A few on ebay but keep not hitting their reserves or silly money on classifeds!!

I am after one of the following;

3rd Gen, 3.0 diesel, wheel underneath, any colour - i do prefer the ones that look all one colour though, happy with a 96 but as new as possible, ideally around the 60-80k miles mark. Upto £4k

2nd gen, 3.0 diesel, any colour (maybe not burgundy, or green, or red) so basically blue or black . any mileage considered, wheel underneath. Upto 1.5k

As long as I can see pictures before and chat to someone about it I am happy to travel anywhere within the UK.

Maybe I am being picky but can't seem to find anything that matches this. Guess I need to just keep looking.

£4k will probably only get you a 96 - probably not the intercooler version.

£1.5K for a 3.0ltr 2nd gen is almost impossible mate, unless you want a total dog which will cost more in the long run.

If you want a 2nd gen - you need to up your budget more!!

I'd say your looking at getting a silver or dark blue non intercooled 3rd gen with your budget mate.

Rod i think you are a mind reader it is a dark blue non intercooled 3rd gen - it is two colour though but I guess you have to sacrifice something.

Once it is properly mine i will get some pics up! (it has had its 5 minutes of fame on the forum already as someone posted a link to it on ebay!! so i might not splash it around too much!!)
