  • 1999 or 2000 Surf WTD

    Hi all,

As per the title, I'm looking for a Silver 1999 or 2000 SSR-G Surf.
Cash waiting, so let me know what you got!!!

I had a 1998 SSR-G for nearly 5 years, and only sold it to get something with lower mileage!

    Cheers

I would definitely snap one up like yours, that is a neat machine, keep thinking of trying Algys but they are all 98s on offer, so any ideas ?

Yeah, thats the one I after Marky. A 99, 00 or 01 depending on price.

Gone off the VX idea Maurice, We are buying a house soon, so the VX was pushing the budget. Maybe next time eh?

I reckon £10500 should get a 00 or 01 if I look hard enough. Maybe even import direct.
Definitely want a Silver ssr-g though.

Where would be a good source for getting a late 3rd gen? Any importers that would be recommended?

Algy's will import whatever you want for a fee. I have no idea how much that fee is.

I thought we were restricted to the VOSA stuff and all that red tape about licensing and stuff ? thats why we couldn't get newer trucks because nothing to compare against and all that ? Confused ? me ? Definitely !
Algys offer two types of import (a) off the shelf from existing stock (b) Personal import with a charge for services rendered around £350 plus charges for Garage fees etc
I am definitely letting my lad have our 3rd gen and getting a newer model, will just have to be patient I guess

Those model reports are not needed in Ireland, so no problems importing in a newer Hilux. Have been in contact with Algys and they reckon they can get a 2001 into Ireland for £8000 + customs.

                      Doesn't sound too bad!

Sure am John, they showed me one thats available now, a 2001 with 73000kms, ssr-g, silver, rear spare but no sunroof. I would have taken it if it had the sunroof.

I've had a sunroof in my last two surf's so I want one in number 3
