Idle Up 'switch' needed for 92' Surf (2.4 auto)

Is this a realistic search item or are there more common substitutes out there that are easier to locate ?

I hope that I'm correct in thinking that this will not cause any problem to the engine by currently, being stuck in the 'on' position ?
