Can anyone help?
My Surf is fitted with a Clifford Virtual Key Immobiliser. It takes the form of a little "torpedo" that attaches to the ignition key ring. When the "torpedo" is brought near its sensor - that is the ignition key is inserted into the steering lock - the identity of the tag is wirelessly interrogated by the immobiliser and, if it's a valid code, the immobiliser is deactivated allowing the vehicle to start.
The problem I have is that I have only one "torpedo" so if I loose that I'll have to bypass the immobiliser. I have the manual for the immobiliser and I believe, if I can obtain another "torpedo", I can teach the immobiliser to recognise the "code" in the new "torpedo" so I won’t be in the mire if I loose one.
The problem I have is that I've been unable to locate one anywhere. I've tried Clifford and found them very unhelpful.
Does anyone have a "torpedo" that they no longer need and would be willing to part with, for suitable recompense of course?
Regards
John
