3L engine wanted

Hello,

For upgrading my weak turboed 2L engine I'm looking for a 2.8l 3L engine. It doesn't need to be complete with all ancillaries. Bare block with crankshaft, conrods and pistons would be okay as well. Also the inj.pump would be appreciated.
I can arrange pick up.

Condition/mileage doesn't matter that much, as long as it hasn't been stored in a lake...

i dont have any 2.8 3l engines at all
your best bet would be to go onto www.elite4x4.co.uk as they are more likely to have what you need on there

In fact I thought many times about a 3.0TD swap. But there comes too much trouble with an 1KZTE/auto. Its quite messy to convert the wiring for a LHD. And it wouldn't work to use a mechanicle inj. pump, as the transmission still needs all the electrics to shift properly. The solution would be a 1KZT with manual transmission, and they are rare to find... And with all the bits&pieces needed for a proper swap, one can end up easily with 2500eur spent.
So the easier way seems to be a 3L bored out to 5L specs with a turbo on it.
Plus it looks quite original, what keeps german inspectors (Tuev) happy.
