WANTED Alternator for a H reg 1990 2.4 TD manual aircon

My alternator is very intermitant and prior to removing it I would like a nice spare one that is in working condition.
I do not want to pay much and dont mind if its a little dirty as long as it works.
I will pay up to £50 but would like it for less if possible.
PS dont tell my wife.

Im in hartlepool and could pay cash and collect if not too far away.

ALSO anyone know a good person to remove and fit in the Hartlepool area and also has a good knowledge of Fault codes.

Thanks for the reply, £50 is the max guess as I said £50 all alternators coming at me will be £50 but would like a choice so keep em coming cheaper nearer the better. I dont like paying post. But thanks for the swift reply

Ive just paid through the nose for one off ebay. watch this space though it might not be quite that straight forward. (Knowing my luck it wont match)

Oh yes I should of known it does not match.

Original alternator had a silver diode looking thing on top of the brushes where the one off ebay although idetical in every aspect other than it does not have this diode looking thing and when fitted seems to be wacking out 18volt

Lot of head scratching after the mamouth task of taking out old alternator andputting in other.

Please help either tell me its not right and you can supply a brush set to suit old unit or tell me what I need.

PS anyone know what the differnece in the alternators is and need the one that is not right. (It costy me £50 + post and I would do some kind of exchange/swap entire thing for a brush set for my original unit as I just dont want to keep messing about.

There are 5 Different types, Ya neeed the part no off ya old one, n on most they have a green sticker that should match wiv yours aswell n Bingo ya got ya self the right one !!!!!
