It has cost me nearly £500 to lift mine about 5" and thats a 2" body lift and 3" on the suspension using the landcruiser hd j80 springs.Here's some before and after pics of mine

Very nice, that is pretty much the look I want to achieve. It also seems the lift on a Surf is cheaper than a Jeep - YAHOO!

My surf is red and so far standard. I wanted black but none were available at the time I was looking, I'm happy with it apart from the awful creaking noises on full lock!

just do a search for bump stops.Its a simple fix just a blob of grease

Once again, thanks. BF had odd look on his face when I gave him the tech info, bit like a dog when he cocks it's head to one side when you talk to it. Secretly, I think I turned him on with 'techy tool talk' ha ha!

Oops, there appears to be a pun there. What I meant to say was I don't fancy laying under a car in the cold and wet, fighting with oily spanners on rusted in nuts.

He can play with his tools under my car while I, depending on the weather, either sun myself in the garden or stay indoors, watch TV and drink coffee if it's raining. I'm not silly, I just pretend I don't know what I'm doing and flash my womanly charms, he'll do anything I ask, just like a good boy.

D'ya know I have spent the last 2 days on me back under me truck, damp and covered oil and I have learnt sooo much, so satisfying to have known ya fixed it (or the forum did-or the mechanic down the road after ya told him what was up) all byse yaself.
