2.4TD Engine and auto gearbox needed

I need a 2.4TD engine and auto gearbox for a 1993 surf. Anyone out there got one (low miles or reconditioned) or recommend a supplier?

You may end up paying for a new head as well at around £1000 fitted.
Just ask for advise before jumping into anything.
Tonyn is near & he can advise/repair if need be. So many people have been ripped off by garages.

i have a ssrg i have started to break,
it is still taxed and tested,
and fully driveable,
i am looking for £750 for the THE ENGINE AND GEARBOX COMPLETE,
with all the ancillaries on it,
manifolds,turbo,alternator,sta rter,
this vehicle was a 1 owner car,
i personally drove this car back from past manchester a fortnight ago,
she drove spot on apart from the power steering wasnt working,
she returned me 27mpg at 70mph,
didnt smoke or use any oil,
you are welcome to come and take it for a long drive before you part with any money,
that way you know exactly what you are getting,

Do you know if it has had a modified head fitted? Don't want to shell out for a new engine only to have the head go a few months down the line.

The engine and gearbox is spotty dog mate, I've seen it working and running and it runs like a dream, Its the cleanest engine you'll ever see on something that age I was even thinking about swapping it for mine but couldn't get the readies, The rest of the car is mint as well (it was a shame for it to be broken...in fact it was cleaner than mine, and mines pretty clean). I've had a few things off it already...I know its in the auto trader on Friday so if you need anything off it...get in quick. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!
