    Fuel Pump

Hi Bob - i've got one spare although i have no proof (other than the say so of the chap i bought it from) - long story blew my original 2.4 engine bought a replacement with all sundries - the engine is sweet as a nut - fuel pump should be as well - assuming its the correct spec for you. pm me if you're interested.

    Steve.

Surfsteve, can you post some pictures of the fuel pump, and tell me if it came from an EFI engine or not.

Doner vehicle will need to be 1990 or earlier.

Interesting thought, but I think it would take too long.

I think maybe admin might intervene, and/or people would reply and knock you off the top slot again and again, you would be forever going round in circles.

It appears to be leaking from the o ring between the disdributor block and the pump body, at the back, so can't see exactly due to the engine is in the way.

All the info I've read up on says that the pump will (probably) have to come out, and there in lies the expense.

If the pump has to come out and be re-fitted, it's about £400 labour, then injection specialist to strip, re-seal, bench test and recalibrate, about £350-£400.

Cost of new pump- £2500.00 from toyota.

                              OUCH!
