tailgate lock and key required

but its got no key for the tailgate lock - anyone got a lock and key from a strip-down?

nope boss, it dont.

it doesn't go all the way in - I shall squeeze some wd40 in and give it another try in case its full o' $$$$. it dont turn neither, it don't do nuthin. the switch works though, coz I tried it.

: NOTE TO SELF: when playing with leccy windows, remove hands FAST!!!
Seriously, if you remove the switch from the lock and manually switch it, the window will descend fast, and if you dont' unswitch it quick, the window becomes a wall, you on one side (with or without fingers) and the switch on the other.... cant up the window from the cab switch cos the gate switch overrides it!!! coat hanger and nimble fingers required....

wd40 - praise the lord

its all sorted now!
wd40 in the lock, blew all the $$$$ out. however, the switch didnt work - took it apart and found the contact was bent over, so mended that too. took the time to grease all the window parts too.

I love my surf.....
