Probably can't make the karting, but I'll see what I can do.

Should be anough names now to book the Karting, I'll do that ASAP.
Looks like we'll have a nice big Surf convoy now.
Should look impressive, saw a convoy of Jeeps in Blackpool the other day, and that was quite a sight so we will have to top that.
7pm meeting will probably be at Halfrauds too, it's just a quarter mile along the road from the start of the lights so we may as well start that part of the day there too.
As for what the others can do whilst we're Karting.... well, the Karting centre is indoor I think, so it shouldn't be that cold, and I'm sure that it will still be quite entertaining for the non-participants. But it's also not that far from the town centre with all the entertainment/attractions that are there so it shouldn't be that hard to keep yourselves amused.Paul </Slugsie>

Just a thought.
As I have large Y frame ladders, should i bring them along to take photos from a height at the 7 pm meet up. Photos from a height of aprox 4m of a group of over 20 Surfs and others, or is that just too sad, and should I get out more?

Sounds like an interesting idea. The only fly in the ointment would be that it may be quite dark so you'd have to rely on a good flash and whatever street lighting is available.Paul </Slugsie>

I should be able to get some reasonable shots (everyone's just gotta stand completely still for a few secs )

Karting Booked
OK, just been down to the Karting center and booked us in/paid deposit for next Saturday, 1pm-2pm. Provisionally booked for 10 people, but can accomodate more (we pay by the hour, so the more the cheaper).
I hadn't fully clocked where it was by looking at the map. It's right next to a bowling alley, so that could be an additional source of amusement for the afternoon and/or for those not Karting. It's also a couple minutes walk from a cinema (probably where we'll have to leave the Surfs while Karting). The Karting center has a small arcade and a pool table too.
OK, roll on next Saturday. Looks like I'll be spending this weekend washing/polishing the Surf so that it sparkles.Paul </Slugsie>

Karting is booked for 1pm.
Early meet at 12pm, late meet at 7pm.
Meeting point:
Head along the M6 to Jn32, turn on to the M55. Head along the M55 to the end. At the round-about bear left. At the next round-about go straight on (3rd exit). Be careful along this road, there are speed traps that work. At the fourth set of lights turn left into the retail estate. Meet up in the carpark alongside Halfrauds - there's always loads of space there so we shouldn't have any problems parking 20 Surfs.Paul </Slugsie>
