mid wales green laning weekend April

Hi All just a toe in the water test really, after joining GLASS and doing some research on lanes and not getting out a lot last year I promised myself to get out laning more this year! So have roughly put together route area plan and will firm up closer the time, it will include lanes like strata florida, golf links and a few more.

The plan is for Friday to Sunday 12-14th or 19th-21st April

Friday night camp in Llangurig area

Saturday head towards Tregaron taking in lanes and camp around Llanwrtyd Wells area

Sunday head toward Kington

As said I will firm up around in the next few weeks but that’s the kind of area I am looking at to lane in.

If anyone is seriously interested in it then pop your name down and we can go from there. As law of laning states will only be looking for 4-5 vehicles on convoy but could stretch to two separate ones if get much interest.

just a quick up date on the mid wales green laning trip on 20-21st April . i have been running this on HPOC forum too so there has been a few takers from the other site too so we have 8(7) now which should do as will run a 4 + 4(3) group.

I work 3 on 3 off so i have to sort my year early . A FSS off for me is my best bet but that's a SSM on

Hopefully later this year once i have settled in the job I'll beat stein around the head and we could play

yeah it is the 20-21st April. meeting Friday night

all sorted for numbers now have 8 trucks so 2 groups of 4

please tell me mine won't be the only standard truck going, I don't want to be the one that always needs rescuing...
...or at least assure me that there will be no photos taken

on a slightly more serious note, is 8 the absolute maximum? H wants to come in his zuke but he's not certain yet if he'll be able to, won't know until it's a bit closer to the date (car, bike and van MOT's and tax all due in the next month)

wasp will have to harsh and say no but i guess H has a lot on his plate and i was thinking of sorting a north wales weekend out next month like we did a few years ago so hopefully he should be sorted for that

Hi Wasp, not a problem we will be there will save a you a space! yeah camping friday and saturday night if all well and good and no one breaks anything ha! its a different site on saturday

We camped there last May before 2 days of laning in wales, after 2 days laning in lakes, a day in Dales and a day in Peaks - 6 days of laning round the UK
easy walking distance to the pubs and tea shops in Rhyader
did the "golf course"/"rhyader steps" the next morning, followed by the below dam lane
then black yatt etc
rivers were too high to do Strata Florida though
