Water lane in Alton Hampshire

Has anyone driven down water lane in Alton Hampshire in a 3rd Gen surf?

I've been invited to go on sunday in my bog standard Surf and didn't want to get stuck every 5 minutes, or smash my sills up etc.

and what is the 'STEP'?

Brilliant lane but if its the one I think it is (and I'm 90% sure it is) long wheelbase trucks are known to pop their rear side windows. Know I did!

Having difflocks will make a big difference and you may well be fine but be prepared for more than sill damage. Don't mind getting some damage to the truck but that lane did so much that the fun didnt quite balance the inconvenience.

Is that where that dent by window cme from?

I'd be interested in a look, but Linda's truck dosn't have a front Diff ATM, and the 4Runner isn't taxed or tested.

I guess doing it in the Outback is out of the question?

hmmmm, i think i'll give that lane a miss then.

thanks for the heads up. it would have been a right nightmare if i had got a mile into the lane and had to reverse out again rather than dent my truck!

heard about water lane recently

so been looking it up, seems a bit of nasty one, so think I'd give a miss too..
