That doesn't sound to bad, my only problem will be getting the time off work and getting permission of the missus Got no probs going without a guide ive driven in some pretty remote places on my own and ended up havin the best adventures.

well time of work is most peoples problem really...

Earlyish on in the year maybe feb / march. we are always quite around jan but everyones skint just after christmas so prob no good for a big expedition.

yeah due to money I think we might have to concider putting the whole thing back to later in the year, so people can save a little longer..

Ok then after a conversation with Tiger a couple days ago and with a few other people who are wanting to come in 2009 it has been decided that the SIM expedition has been delayed to October/ November I will have a look for some dates and then let u all know what is happening..
We can then have a poll about the date and that will be final...

The delay has been decided mainly that it is easier to get holidays then and most people are skinned after xmas so it just seems a way better time to go... and this way more people have time to save up.....

Within the next 4 weeks or so I will do an more exact breakdown of the costs.. so we all know what we need to save up.

So everyone that is interested get ur names down as cheaper boats etc apply with more trucks, so it will help me calculating what the cost per truck are gonna be.....
If u wanna come but don't have a second person or u don't have a truck u can put ur name down too and we'll try and fit everyone with a suitable person....

Yeah sorta lol my mate has been africa before so he know's a bit and another friend is half marrocan so she knows a lot so between them and my map plotter we shud get some nice routes...

I am just trying to get some dates defenate as there is another bigger trip in the planning and cant have them clashing....

There's loads of info regarding practicalities and routes on the web too.
