    Absolutely fabulous weekend!

OK, it rained pretty much from when we set up camp to when I left this morning, but what the hell! The route (well, actually four of them) I would rate from pretty good to awesome!

The first one was a bit noddy, but I suppose the guys had to break people in gently - they dont know who's bringing what.

The second one was generally on grass tracks through woodland. Very very tight in places. A Surf was probably as wide as you'd get through. A Landcruiser would have it's arches ripped off by good old welsh granite.

The third one was probably the longest, and was a trek across mountain moorland after quite a long climb to about 450m. It was a bit samey apart from about a mile or so of soft muddy track which added a bit of interest to the otherwise easy slate / pebbly track. If the weather had been better, the views would have been breathtaking.

The last run was by far the best in my opinion. It consisted of tight, rocky and steep track, climbing to about 400m with some quite technical bits where large boulders waited to bite the unwary as you climbed up them or down them. For quite a while there was no let-up, and concentration was required all of the time. It was quite physically demanding too.

I have lots of video (from the roofbar camera - which is now full of water) and stills which I'll post later after I've s$$$$ed the muck off myself.

I'll do a bit of editing tonight. The webcam survived 3 days in the rain, but is now... ermmm... an ex-webcam.

I'll buy a better one, and build a waterproof housing.

my surf is definatley living proof that any stock surf can do a one hell of alot as standard.

awsome last section and the poor weather just added more fun.

              thanks to one and all

Marky wait till pete (4 runner ) speaks to you, there is now no excuse for not coming along as far as the surf is involved.

i dont even need to wash mine coz of all the rain, even my engine bay is clean.

on my tow bar i have a Bulldog stabilizer bracket hanging down and i didnt even ground it or s$$$$ the paint off it,

Apache and The Lovely Boyo were upset as they wanted to see me fail so they could recover me. lol. maybe next time boys!

I have a memory-map route file for the runs. I'll post it up when I've figured out how to edit it into individual runs. At the mo, it's one big route with all the road sections on!

                              Looks fantastic chaps!

Andy - just bung it up as it is, we can chop the bits out we don't want! Besides, will be useful to have the road bits in too....
