Have folk going to Drumclog signed up on the Difflockers forum ? There is a list to add yourselves to in the events & gatherings section. I gather its all welcome but as its been organised by the forum it may be nice to show our support by signing up to it.

    What do you think?

            Hey Scotty

I'm travelling down on Friday, leaving Aberdeen around 12 ish, going to take it slow as I didn't bother changing the MTs. I was hoping someone would show me around.

Just done a quick count and there appears to be 74 names on the list plus others claiming about another 40 vehicles.

                    Should be fun.

i take it that u guys are camping for the sunday as well?

onlynik, are you going to camp on the friday, or are you looking for a hotel? there are a few not to far, and they would be reasonablly price no doubt.

once we have confermation of who is going, on what day, and what time they expect to arrive, then i'll sus out a meeting place. SO

i thought a few of the guys south of the border would have went to this one.

I was just planning on camping tbh.

Will have to rake out my stove, and decide whether to take a tent or sleep in the back of the Surf.

I'm 6'3 and was very comfortable in the back of the surf. I took a tip from the forum and used a 10mm socket to remove the seat bottom from one of the seats (the bit that goes up behind the passenger seats) and this gave me the extra room I needed to be comfortable.

I'll be in the surf for Sat night though the missus has thrown a spanner in the works for Sunday so I may need to break away earlier than I would have planned.

Looking at the time, I'll probably just drive odwn on the Saturday morning. If I leave at 6, I'll be there in plenty time. And I'll be able to take my co-pilot

Don't know if i should get there the earlier the better. Might get the 8am boat and be there for about 10. i think?? Need to head home for Sat night though, but will try make it back on Sunday.

Anyway, hope everyones got their camera's ready.

Jeff from the forum,is going as well i think,i'll e mail him and find out. Think he stays about 40 minutes from Drumclog.

nae bother, just the saturday will do me,

if we can all be there for 11 thatll be perfect, to be honest 3-4 hours of off roading is enough, and thatll give you guys time to head home in the daylight.

will all of you be coming the M74, if so there is a hotel just off the junction that you take, jct 8, Shawlands Hotel its called, they have a good car park with plenty room. heres the link.

                                http://www.shawlandshotel.co.uk/about.htm

it might come in handy for those of you with sat nav.

i recon it will take us 15 to 20 mins to get to drumclog from there, slightlly more if anyone want to stop for deisel, refreshments.

it would be good if we could all meet there in plenty of time, just for a blether and a brew, and a kick at a few tyres.

                                cheers scotty
