  • Parkwood OffRoad - Tong near Leeds & Bradford

    Hi guys,

    Long time no post!

Has anyone heard of the Parkwood off-roading centre. It's in Tong near Bradford and Leeds.

More to the point, has anyone been and what do they think of it?

      Hey Vince,

Thanks for the warm welcome back.

Have just been trawling through endless pages of 'New Posts' accumulated since my last visit.

Good to see that all the faithful are still in attendance.

that looks like the place I used to go with the Landrovers years (10) ago when I was a member of the Pennine Landrover Club.

It was a good site then, plenty of magnetic trees with a race track through the middle. Good 3 day event in Aug, esp the night race on the Saturday.

plenty of scope for Point to Point for a slower, more sedate passtime.

Looks like it has grown since them, and a new name, I think it was just home farm then, with an enthusiastic owner

oh oh, first post, thats it now, i've started....

              Hi Gary

Yep been therer a few times with the pajero owners club (pre surf days).

Top site with loads of options depending on how brave you are but it's always verry, very muddy.

I found that AT's struggled so had to buy a second set of wheels with MT's on (for the paj)

Not been since I got the surf

If I remember rightly, if you contact them direct and want to bring a group they used to give a discount on normal fees (burger van is excellent)

                Thanks and R U Up 4 It?

Cheers guys for the info - sounds like it'd be worth a bash.

Anyone up for it in the West Yorkshire area then - or further afield for that matter?

They've got a scheduled day coming up in May - if memory serves me right then it's May 15th.
