Got the surf back from TonyN yesterday after having the head fixed, and just couldn't resist having a jaunt down a few local lanes. Nothing too challenging, found a nice river to play in. I've got the grin back on my face Here's a few piccies. Big thanks to TonyN again.

Yep , I'm going to try and pick up an OS map today, and reccy a few more lanes to make a proper trip out of it.

The river is just up the road from Droxford in Exton. There is another river in Droxford it self, but I am trying to find out whether or not you are allowed to drive through it. If you can, it is about a 100 metre drive down the river before you come out at the other end.

Could be worth a few of us doing a trip at the weekend

I've just picked up three OS maps covering the area, and there looks like miles and miles of lanes, including what looks like some nice gradients.

I've got the urge to go out playing again tonight.

Oh no.... I think i've caught the bug.

Jez, I have just checked the OS for Exton and Droxford. Theres doesnt seem to be any legally driveable roads in or around the meon river.

There is a dubious one at grid ref 608104 but I wouldnt want to risk getting a ear bashing from the locals!

Quite a few up towards Petersfield and Butser Hill tho. Then north towards Four Marks.

Will have to sort a date with you soon!

Search for Exton and it comes up. The other one is listed under Droxford, but I am a bit dubious as to whether this one is legal or not.

I went up for a reccy up to Butser Hill and Petersfield last night. Found a couple of good lanes, some would be more suited to a full on offroad course than a leisurely drive in the country. Definately wasn't going to attempt them without another truck to pull me out if I got stuck. Quite a few lanes on the OS map have actually been closed off by the council , but I didn't have time to check them all out.

Here's some more piccys of the more tricky lanes I found. Sorry about the quality, forgot my camera so had to take them on my phone. At the bottom of this lane there is a mud pool to play in as well.
