The Trev & Paul double act have been schemeing again, who is up for the Tennyson Trail on the 29th January ?

It is intended that we will meet up at 10:30 at Carisbroke Castle, so dust off the cameras and invade the island.

Sorry guys - I land at Heathrow at 9am coming in from NY so I dont think I'll get there in time!!

Besides have to keep up the tradition of missing Trev at these things..

Hehe - jetlags not so bad - thats why I get the overnight plane with the bed seats - I can sleep!! Then its just a case of staying awake until normal UK bedtime and your back to normal!

Would that be a camera you got?

Feeling the Jetlag right now, landed back mid morning on sunday from Detroit, and they got all the checking gear (digital camera and fingerprint scanners) for incoming visitors installed now !!!!!

The Isle of Wight, time to get the old girl on a ferry - as a rough guide for timing I am booked on the 9:00am wightlink out of Portsmouth.

Hi Tim,

As Udtrev said its on the Isle of Wight.

Approx ferry fares are £25 to £30 depending on offers for the day for a car and upto 4 passengers. You can either travel over from Portsmouth, Southampton or Lymington

Portsmouth to Fishbourne is a 45min crossing and they run on the hour and half hour (generally!) web site for the ferry company is Isle of Wight Ferries, Isle of Wight holidays - Wightlink I have checked the web site and at this present time they do not have any special offers on but I think they will post some offers in the next few days.

Southampton to East Cowes is an hour crossing but they run every 90mins at this time of year! web site is http://www.redfunnel.co.uk/redfunnel/travel/html/main2.shtml

Lymington to Yarmouth is a 30min crossing and run quarter to and quarter past the hours (generally!) same web site as Portsmouth to Fishbourne.

This is a nice easy trip and i think you will get by with road tyres and you will struggle to do any damage! But the great thing about this trail is the VIEW's and we can wind up the golfers of course!! as we end up driving across a golf course.
