I have just been catching up on this thread. For me to join the convoy at 10AM I would have to leave home at about 6AM. Sounds good though. I haven't booked leave for it because I was rostered for 8 days off and Langdale falls right in the middle. The boss is on about changing the roster and reckons he only needs to give us a months notice. I am practising looking ill already. I'm not missing it for anything. If the sun shines I will be wearing white from head to foot - mustn't go back with a tan. Mind you mud makes a good sunblock!

GO SLOW AS THERE IS A HUMP BACK BRIDGE FOLLOW THIS ROAD FOR A FURTHER FEW MILES. YOU WILL START TO SEE A FOREST ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE AHEAD WITH AN OPENING THERE IS A SIGN SHOWING FORESTRY COMMISION. YOU MAY NOTICE A COTTAGE ON THE LEFT WITH A SIGN SAYING FIREWOOD HONEY TURN RIGHT UP THIS ROAD.
