I have just been catching up on this thread. For me to join the convoy at 10AM I would have to leave home at about 6AM. Sounds good though. I haven't booked leave for it because I was rostered for 8 days off and Langdale falls right in the middle. The boss is on about changing the roster and reckons he only needs to give us a months notice. I am practising looking ill already. I'm not missing it for anything. If the sun shines I will be wearing white from head to foot - mustn't go back with a tan. Mind you mud makes a good sunblock!

As the original roster said you had 8 days off, You have booked a holiday which fall within the 8 days of your roster. Tell your BOSS to bog off.

Turn RIGHT after a few MILES TO CROPTON

CARRY ON DOWN A WINDY ROAD SOME TIGHT BENDS ON THIS BIT. DOWN A HILL WITH GRIT SAND BOXES ON EITHER SIDE THESE ARE USED IN THE WINTER. GO SLOW AS THERE IS A HUMP BACK BRIDGE FOLLOW THIS ROAD FOR A FURTHER FEW MILES. YOU WILL START TO SEE A FOREST ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE AHEAD WITH AN OPENING THERE IS A SIGN SHOWING FORESTRY COMMISION. YOU MAY NOTICE A COTTAGE ON THE LEFT WITH A SIGN SAYING FIREWOOD HONEY TURN RIGHT UP THIS ROAD.
YOU HAVE NOW ARRIVED AT THE CAMPSITE

Directions to site Approach through Cropton off the A170 . 1 mile North of Cropton on the Rosedale road turn right into the forest at the signpost.

My wife has just walked in and told me that i must be sad talking to yous about this weekend, she reckons that i sound like someone that has a VW camper or even worse a trainspotter. Thing is she also asked if she can come with me.

well done on getting your truck mate your going to have a lot of fun with it. U will not stop smiling for weeks after Langdale. Just dont let the wife drive she will notwant to get it back to u lol.

Are we all trying to pitch fairly close together? The reason I ask is coz we all sound QuItE mAd CoMpAReD to the NorMal bANK HoLiday CroWd. It would be nice to be able to do it again next year
