  • The Best weekend of your life ?

Well no....I can't promise you that.

BUT...the Hiluxsurf Forum are on their travels.

Koi ,Linda , Tony & the rest of the wacky races are coming for an offroad weekend in North Yorkshire.
    On Easter weekend at least 10 cars & their occupants are offroading at ;

    Saturday 10th April ...http://www.nyoffroad.co.uk/
    Sunday 11th April ...http://www.langdalequest.co.uk/

These are both organised well ran sites where you can have fun & test yourself & your vehicle without damaging either.
Suitable for first-timers & experienced off-roaders , this is a great chance to meet some fellow surfers ,socialise & find out about that little red button & maybe have a beer.
There are still places available on both days & we have negotiated a 50% discount at both sites.
If you want to come on the Sunday please get in touch asap because we need to confirm final numbers & pay for this one shortly
Saturday we are just paying on the day...so just let us know if you intend to come.
If you want to make a long weekend of it , some of us are staying at a caravan site at Whitby & Linda has 2 berths available at one of the statics.
These are available at a CHEAP rate due to a cancellation.
(Get well soon Pops...we'll miss you )

how do i get in touch....i have never done off roading or any thing like it but i would really like to try..it isn't too far from me either, so i would be able to drive there and back the same day ( i think about 1 hour from me......well 1 and a half hours if i am driving lol ) and where do i get the details from?, would anyone be able to look at my surf and let me ( honestly ) know what they think of it as i am seriously new to all this stuff...

          Jo
P.S.. are they patient to an absolute . total novice beginner?

I've sent a PM!! Paddy &Jo - click on the green Private Message at the top right of the screen and you'll be able to read/reply to my message!

We were all beginners once and we are very patient!! The Saturday at Robin Hood's bay will be especially good as an intro for anyone not having done this before... and the overnight accomodation is VERY REASONABLE if anyone wants to stay and have a few beers with us!!

Are the Vagrant Catering Co going to be required ? If so I can speak to Chief chef , Jotto , and see what we need . I would think a gas stove as at Norfolk would be good for the tea/coffee side of things .

Let us know your thoughts .

Most of us are there Fri/Sat/Sun night & everyone has to eat ?

Friday night is Mrs Sumos birfday & shes cooking us up some red hot chilli
We,re out all day Sat & Sun offroading & the original plan was maybe a tailgate bbq as pops had offered the use of a large gas bbq...but he can't make the trip & neither can his bbq.
There are no facilities at langdale & I don't think theres any at RHB either.
So we need to make some arrangement for the 2 lunches & hopefully something on the evenings as well.
There are plenty of shops & takeaways in Whitby but if we want to sit anywhere to eat as a group we will probably need to book.
I have been recomended to try a place called Trenchers for fish & chips if we stay together ? Maybe that might work Sat evening.
Suggestions & offers of help are welcome. I'm off shortly & can pop over to Whitby if investigation is required.
There is a family bar on the site we are staying on but it was closed when I called in.
Easter is the start of the holiday season for Whitby & full facilities wiil be open then

I only ask as we sometimes have a BBQ at some of the events 'down South' .I do not mind what we do . I want to have fun as I am sure you all do and a BBQ can add that bit more fun . If we go to a cafe or something that is fine .We normally use disposable BBQ's for the ease of it .If you want the Catering Co ,just say and we can deal with it .
