anything will go in, depends how much you wanna weld/cut!

See an Escort diesel powered Zuki, not sure what size motor it was though.

phil if you go for the ford lump let me know how well it works as i will be looking for a bigger engine in the future as i am a little bit of a power freak if left to my own devices and will probaly break the zook lump pretty quick lol, thought about 1800 diesel turbo lump from escort van since i am going to be fairly light

ah but surely the idea of the suzys is that they weigh nothing bigger engine means more weight for engines arnt that light better engine would be a vw td engine but for me im keeping it light and staying with the suzy lump.
idea put a 1600 vitara engine almost identical part from a bigger bell housing flange anyway good luck

Other big thing for the Suzy is very short wheelbase and massive articulation possibilities. Big engine won't harm this however the handling will be shot to pieces by such a big heavy engine.

Peugeot 1.9 diesel is a good alternative, but then again the idea was to use what was available.

          Cheers

I was looking at the Peugeot engines but they are quite expensive to get hold of. I am only looking for an alternative because my Zook has 96K miles on the clock. I have seen a pic of a V8 Zook pulling a wheelie on one of the american sites. I'm just becoming power mad

lmao phill nice idea to be pulling wheelies in a zuk but 1 wouldnt it be ilegal pulling a wheelie up the high street? and 2 think going threw a bog on the two back wheels wouldnt really work

Forget 2.5 Transit engine , to big and heavy , Peugeot gearbox conversion too expensive . Try engine and box out of one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...484158410&rd=1 , its diesel and gearbox is strong . Need to re align the transfer box and props but possibley the easiest way to go diesel now as lighter then both the others and no gearbox mods .
