ok heres one for ya ive had carb trouble on my sammy ive got 5 yes five carbs all erm broken so i set out to put a diferant carb on i went and bought a webber but couldnt find an adapter plate and would struggle with the scuba gear so i tried a nissan bluebird carb yes it bolts straight in no probs runs fantastic heaps more power better econamy so now im getting near to 32 mpg and get it up and past motorway speeds 90+ only a couple of tiny probs the choke is electronic that just wires up with the fuel cut off works great and also on my model sammy it has the rev stepper to step up the revs when lights ect are on also the sammy airfilter pan still fits so i thought id share it with you because ive just spent alot of money on usless carbs and been off the road for a few days ,and ive never seen or heard of a carb conversion like this its so easy

I believe a mini carb is a pretty straight swap on the 1.0 models.....

Best conversion for off roading a 1300 is a 1"3/4 inch SU off a Maxi or similar . Make a ally flange and weld to s short piece of ally tube , cut off the Suzi carb mount and weld on the new tube . This is the mod carried out by Suzi specialist Rhino Ray and he sells these kits .
This mod stops fuel surge and flat spots in the carb when jumping your Suzi about , and the fact the standard carb is $h*te .

No one really bothers with the 1000cc carb as the engine ain't got much gogo anyway . We know , we got one for Langdale .
