Heres my last ride - a TL1000s, I sold it last autumn, I dont know whats next, I have been offered a KX650 trailie for £600 so that could well be it

I had it flat out on the 'Nuurburgring' two years ago - Awesome noise!
My wife reckons at 48 io'm to old to go yompin about on bikes, bah humbug!

L125? & GT200 lambrettas, XL250 honda, 400x4 Honda, CB900fa Honda, 440 & 550 triple Suzuki thingys, XR350 Honda, CB400x4 Honda, TL1000s Suzuki.

The first 'things' I owned and were on the road were scooters (cheap at the time), had a GT200 Lambretta that I had bored to 225cc, I crashed it and blew it up a few times before I learned my lesson.
Of course we had various 'Track bikes' including AJS350's x2 and a BSA500 single something and various crap moped thingys plus a couple of fizzies between the 'Vange Massive' as they're now known and an Italian bike we stole when we were too stupid to know whats what.
When I grew up (slightly) and gave up smoking I used the spare cash to buy a brand new XL250s Honda trail that I used to ride around the local wasteland waiting for the cops (on the same bikes) to get within 50 yards before we showed them how to ride, hilarious!

I also bought a new XR350 Honda enduro and also a CB900FA Honda for work, - http://www.woodie.pwp.blueyonder.co.u k/images/honda's.JPG sold the XL and the XR was stolen when 3 months old (retribution eh?).
In between I had a few old Suzuki triples a 440 and a er something cant remember but they scraped and sparked at all the corners and were $hit.
Bought another 400x4 Honda and more or less sold the lot off when the kids came along, then much later when I realised that its MY LIFE! I bought the TL1000s Suzuki mmmmmmmmm. But now, for the last 4 months I'm again a 'Poor Bikeless Ba$tard' but,,,,, I have a new toy, the 'Surf', had lots of cars including an old 109LWB but too boring to mention. Oh yes, forgot, I had a few doer uppers, like TS125's etc that had been thrown down the road but never rode them much exept to test them.

FS1E - (had to bump start the damm thing all the time (couldn't ride around with the pedals on 'cos it looks stupid!!)
TS 185 (Yank import)-not road legal but did that stop me?......
250 LC - got wiped out by an OAP in an Austin 1300
FZR 1000 Genesis (bag of $hit 9far to heavy for me and it was like flying a kite
zzr 600 - the mutts nuts
GS 550 E - classic bike, loving restored - sold to buy a kitchen (love is uch a wonderful thing....)

Was going to get a zzr 1100 for commuting then a close friend died whilst out riding, sort of put everything into perspective for me (1 wife, 2 young kids, the inability to transport them on it) Binned the whole idea and bought me a 4runner instead - not a bad compromise really.
Will probably get something when I hit '50' and have to major responsibilities etc

Ironically I have been to a quite a few bike RTA's (some which were fatals) and it still really doesn't put me off

yea same here, buried a few m8,s over the years and so there,s no chance of me getting another sports bike(1 wife, 2 kids and an inability to behave sensiblyon a m/bike), i think the next bike i get will be another enduro bike when we emigrate to Canada, but if their was no wife and kids it would have to be a stage 3 tuned RG500Gamma , classic insurance and the ability to blow the doors of most things on the road, but i,d rather have me wife and kids(i think )

Been really lucky with the mates thing.

I have been in several situations (one of which was a head on confrontation with some ######## that was overtaking round a bend) and on the bike I managed to take avoiding action. If I was in a car I would have been in a couple of head on collisions (I managed to go down the side of the car between the curb and the drivers door in one case) so I have been lucky and somebody is looking after me cause one of the days it was wet and I would normally not considered taking the bike at all - spooky.
