            Hockey cokey clutch

Took the g'box back out the 410 today as I was not happy with the feel of the clutch pedal . I was correct to as the release bearing had come of the release arm . Prob was caused by the arm hitting the trans tunnel on the way back in .
I refitted the bearing and lock wired the release arm back so it could not drop the bearing off if knocked . The g'box would not clear the trans tunnel unless the arm was moved forward , dropping the bearing .
I then consulted the 'service update bulliten' in my head and the g'box went in.

The 'service update bulliten' in my head instucts the use of a 'Jotto owned 5lb lump hammer' . With this in my hand the trans tunnel allowed the g'box to fit with no clearence probs .

Only fault is the clutch pedal will not go down due to the trans tunnel now stops pedal travel as is now under the pedal instead of by the side of it !!!

Will have to recheck 'service update bulliten' as to rectify this .

Me and Jon discussed wether the zook will attend 0n 29th , we are still unsure . I fixed the wipers today so we will be able to see where we are going !! . Repaired the alternator Kitesurfphil gave us so all charging now . 'Suicide' seat in the back being repaired with new frame which we hope will not collapse .
Still got the rear disc brake kit to fit .

The old 'Vagrant' is having quite a lot of attention at the mo . About time to .

Thanks for the alternator Phil . I fitted it but it would not charge , the same as the old one . Jon stripped it down and we found the brushes had stuck away from the armature . A quick WD40 and it all went back together with only 1 screw left over (broken) !! Now charge light goes out so assume it is charging .
